Nexxtap at Samsung’s 2025 Business Beyond Boundaries Event

Earlier this month, our team at Nexxtap had the chance to take part in Samsung’s “Business Beyond Boundaries” enterprise showcase in Sydney. It was one of those events that really makes you stop and appreciate how quickly tech is moving, but more importantly, how it can be used to make life easier for real businesses.

We were invited to support the event by powering payments on the Samsung devices at the Make Your Own Perfume experience, a hands-on activation where attendees designed their own signature scent. With Nexxtap running on Samsung’s New Rugged tablet (Tab Active5 Pro), the checkout process was smooth, secure and (thankfully) dongle free, a perfect example of how simple and scalable payments can be when you take a software first approach.

Putting the Tech to the Test

There were some impressive innovations on display, from AI powered displays to digital signage that runs on next to no energy (ePaper), but what really stood out to us was the focus on practicality. Samsung’s new rugged devices, the Tab Active5 Pro and the XCover7 Pro,  aren’t just flashy. They’re built to handle drops, spills, dust, heat, and just about anything else a busy business might throw at them.

Seeing Nexxtap run reliably in a live setting like this, surrounded by curious visitors and real time transactions, gave us a solid reminder of why we do what we do: to help Australian businesses get paid without the extra hardware, stress or cost.

A Small Part of Something Bigger

Being at the event wasn’t just about showing what nexxtap can do; It was about learning, connecting and seeing where our little piece of the puzzle fits in in the business operational ecosystem. We spoke to venue staff, volunteers and business owners who were genuinely surprised that secure payments could happen on a tablet or phone they already use, without needing extra terminals or merchant accounts.

Those chats reminded us that there’s still a gap between what’s possible and what people know is possible. That’s where we hope Nexxtap can help, by making modern payments more accessible, for everyone from enterprises with large teams, to tradies, sole traders, retailers, not for profits and small teams doing the hard yards every day.

What We Took Away

Samsung’s theme, “Business Beyond Boundaries”, hit home for us. Because running a business doesn’t happen behind a counter anymore. Whether you’re at a local school event, setting up a market stall, running a mobile service or just trying something new, you need tech that moves with you.

Seeing the possibilities with Samsung’s devices, and being trusted to play even a small part in that bigger vision, left us feeling grateful and quietly proud of where Nexxtap is headed.
